Morocco destroys a batch of canned sardines that did not meet hygienic standards
The Moroccan government's food safety department recently discovered that a batch of canned sardines had serious quality problems due to substandard cooking oil used in production, so the batch of 600,000 boxes of cans was destroyed.
According to local media reports, the Moroccan food safety department said that the substandard cooking oil was imported from abroad, but did not disclose which country it was imported from.
